About The Hotel

Mövenpick City Centre Hotel in Amsterdam is one of the Mövenpick hotels and resorts at around 76 locations around the world. The hotel has been rated as a 4 star hotel.

Location

Moevenpick is situated in a good location. This is when we found out some shortcuts going to the Centraal Station, City Centre and cultural buildings which is around 8-10 minutes walk. The hotel is just steps away from Cruise Port Passenger Terminal and Birmhius concert hall. The distance was just 20-30 minutes away from the airport.

Rooms

We had a good view from our hotel room where we can see the railways, part of the bridges and Birmhius building. The room was in a modern and contemporary design. It wasn't that spacious but all the amenities are functional.

Customer Service

They have very good customer service, from receptionist, concierge, waiters, waitresses to  hotel manager. Visitors and residents in the hotel lobby were offered with the famous and expensive french macaroons. Kids were offered with drawing kit to keep them busy while the adults were busy catching up.

Restaurant/In-room dining

The food was great. It started with a wonderful in room dining experience plus yummy buffet breakfasts. The dinner was good too, even though there was no rice, :) It was our welcome dinner and to meet the rest of the group in the tour.

Price

Was it value for money? For the accomodation, I think the rate was affordable. The  food may be expensive, but they are in good quality and variety of selections.  You may the prices from their website.

Other Amenities

I noticed they have souvenir shops, bar and restaurants. They are also offering hotel/airport transfers/ Hotel lobby wasn't that grandious and it was okay.
